Still in her full phase, but just after the biggest fullness of yesterday, the Moon will light up soothing Venus and chatty Mercury. After yesterday’s meditations on visibility, we’ll get the opportunity to turn those mediations - hopefully - into something we can share.

A relatively quiet lunar day. While the Moon’s in Virgo, might I recommend an extremely Virgo movie, LISTERS? A YouTube documentary about two stoner brothers who learn about competitive birdwatching by becoming birdwatchers—spending a year living in a used minivan, traveling the country to compete in a ‘Big Year'.

🌙 Thursday, February 5th 🌙
It’s a good day to reflect on how and where your dreams of individual sovereignty have propelled you. As the moon enters Libra, she makes her first opposition to Neptune in Aries. When the moon shines from Libra, it shines for Justice, and when it shines on this Neptune in Aries, it shines brightly on the dream of individuation. Sometimes our dreams for ourselves propel us, sometimes propulsion hurts. These instincts are neutral - natural even. The world needs lone wolves and mycelial networks; just notice which one you’re being and if it’s in line with what you want to be.

When the moon opposed Neptune in Aries a handful of times last year, some big things happened:

• Pope Leo XIV was elected.
• The UN held it’s International Conference for Implementation of the Two-State Solution at which several UN member states passed a non-binding resolution to adopt a two state solution.
• The first No Kings protest.

The big news today is that Mercury enters Pisces, which is good for nonverbal and/or nonlinear expression: music, poetry, visual arts, dance, water ballet, etc. With the moon and the Sun both in air signs, I’d use this day to get dreamy, get lost, get comfy cozy with the nonlinear, expansive and dreamy.

Venus square Uranus calls for a Radical Act of Love. What can you do today to radically love? The moon will activate Mars in Aquarius and then soothing Jupiter in Cancer. I hypothesize Mars in Aquarius as the old master of a martial art - full of wisdom but no longer "in the game." That energy can be wise or bitter, either way it sees the whole from a detached, airy Aquarian angle. Today, the moon's in an overcoming square, so moon-things will outweigh your desire to stay detached. The water trine between the moon in Scorpio and Jupiter in Cancer should help you dig deep and find what you need to meet those needs.
